ARCASHEW is a Cashewnut shell liquid resin based cement.

ARCASHEW is cement having the best chemical resistant qualities. It is self-hardening, non-porous and plastic in nature. This cement is resistant to mixed alkaline solutions with acids and water, but this cement is not recommended for certain solvents, oil and where the temperature is more than 90° C

ARCASHEW Acid and Alkali Resisting Impermeable Cement is a chemical resisting cement of the most outstanding properties with resistance to wide range of Acids & Alkalies & Temperatures. It possesses unique properties of toughness and elasticity and due to this unusual characteristic, it is highly recommended as a pointing cement for brick and tile construction to resist the effect of highly corrosive conditions. It is particularly suitable anti-corrosive flooring because of its dilettante characteristics which enable it to penetrate all cracks and crevices between the joints of tiles and also in the bedding materials.

ARCASHEW is highly resistant to shock and is more suitable than cements of a rigid nature due to the fact that it is tough rather than hard and is elastic rather than rigid. Its characteristic property of flow ensures fully filled joints at all time and maintains this condition for many years. Oxidizing conditions do not affect, although it is not recommended for resisting aromatic solvents or chloro- compounds.

ARCASHEW
is provided in two component, solution and powder mixed on the job to form the quick setting ARCASHEW mortar.

Mixing ratio of Powder : Solution is 3 :1 by weight.

NOTE :

ARCASHEW mortar will start setting within half an hour and gradually stiffen, so it is suggested that only that much quantity should be mixed which can be utilized within half an hour.

ARCASHEW materials should not be stored for more than three months.

ARCASHEW treated floors and linings should be left undisturbed for atleast three days, after that period the treated floors or linings should be subjected to a hot water treatment, water temperature should not be over 800C, in order to achieve highest chemical resistance and toughness.

ARCASHEW
should be stored at room temperatures under shade, will retain its properties for 3 months from the date of manufacturing. Mixing liquid should be kept at normal temperatures since it is easier to use when slightly warm.

The ARCOY Technical Department is maintained to provide you with assistance and advice on any problem of acid or alkali proof construction. Write them your service conditions to obtain prompt recommendations and design suggestions. No obligations of course.
