Bituminol should be
melted in cast iron posts over wood, charcoal, gas or
oil fire. Break-up the cakes of Bituminol with an Axe
to small lumps and put the same in the heating kettles.
In melting the material cake has to be taken to prevent
it from catching the fire. Heat until freely flowing
material is obtained and now it is ready for application
by means of wooden floats.
In case of floors the molten compound is poured hot
on the floor using a wooden sqeege or straight edge
and uniformly spread to a minimum thickness of 3 to
6 mm.
Over the above bituminol, Arocompound is to applied
to a minimum thickness of 5 to 6 mm th. The procedures
of metling application remains same as that of Bituminol.
